Tim Carter, in honor of Nancy Carter
We are pleased to announce that our 2021 Honorary Chair is Tim Carter, in honor of Nancy Carter. Nancy was a 14-year survivor of breast cancer and was a prolific volunteer for many non-profits in town. One of the first fundraising events Nancy got involved in when Tim and her moved to Fort Worth in 1992 was the Cowtown Ball. She was first involved on the event committee and then co-chaired the Ball for 2 years. She remained involved for many years afterward.
Tim is a past president and CEO of Omni American Bank. In May 2019 he was appointed to the NTTA board of directors by the Tarrant County Commissioners.
In addition to his distinguished career Tim has previously served as president and CEO of United Way of Tarrant County, the Harris Methodist Health Foundation and the FW Chamber of Commerce.
Tim has been extremely philanthropic throughout the years. He has served on several area boards including, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas, Fort Worth Public Library Foundation, Lena Pope Home, the Fort Worth Heart Association and several more.
We are honored to have Tim Carter and family's support in the fight against cancer. We hope you'll join them in the fight on Friday, October 1 at the Fort Worth Zoo!
For more than 100 years, The American Cancer Society has been leading the fight to end cancer. With your support, we have helped usher in an era where more people survive cancer than ever before. By translating our research findings into action, we've seen a 20% decline in US cancer death rates since the early 1990s.
